FINAL REFLECTION

1. What did you gain from the experience of having a gallery show?
I had the opportunity to talk about my art to other students and art-viewers, which was a really neat experience. I also got to see everyone else's hard work.

2. What advice can you give next year's AP Art classes to ensure they are successful in creating a portfolio?
I would recommend that your concentration series has a strong personal meaning to you. If I did not have a deep connection to my concentration, I wouldn't have put in as much effort and devotion to the art.

3. What were the positive aspects if the class for you this year?
I learned how to use my camera, and I also learned how to create beautiful pictures in photo shop. I also learned how to take a great picture in any lighting.

4. What can be done differently next year?
I would make the light assignment the first assignment. Though I absolutely despised that project, I learned how to take good pictures in every possible light. After that terrible, tedious, long project, my photographs improved immensely! You will also weed out the unserious students.

5. What did you learn about yourself as an artist this year?
I learned that I love photography, and I will always keep this as a passion and hobby. I also learned that I am drawn to color and landscape shots. I also learned that I have more patience with myself, and can make deadlines and do challenging assignments and take great pictures!

6. How do you think you will apply what you've learned this year to your future life?
I will always capture my life through photography. I am very thankful for this class, because it taught me how to be patient with myself and take quality pictures. I will also take photography classes in college, and use the skills I learned this year as a foundation.

Sam And I at the Gallery Show! Thanks for being my buddy in this class! I wouldn't have survived with out your endless sarcasm and jokes :)
